COVID-19: A call to action

The COVID-19 pandemic will bring out the best of us. This is no time to complain, sit back, determine who is right or whose turf it is. This is the time to roll up our sleeves and act. Let’s identify needs, let’s determine what we can do to bridge the gap. What we need is your time, commitment, network and know how.

Do what you know how to do best. Go to where you feel help is needed and offer to help. If you can’t help, reach out to someone who may be able to help. Don’t do nothing. Scale up whatever help you are offering to enable others benefit as well. Tell the next person. Share your stories. Share what has worked and what has not worked. Focus on solving the problem. Take charge. Remember that at these times, there will be a variety of needs at all levels. NCDC needs us, our States need us, our community needs us, our family needs us, the Presidency needs us, our state Governors need us – and the list goes on.

Remember to think always before acting. Ask for advice; consult before you act; seek superior knowledge; but whatever you do, it’s better to act than to stay doing nothing. Learn from mistakes; learn from failures.

God help us
We will get through this.
This too shall pass
Stay safe whatever you do
